Large C Track Linear Actuator

For sale a high quality aluminium Large C Track Linear Actuator. This actuator type can be used to build larger CNC machines, large format 3D printers, plasma or laser cutting machines.

This actuator is larger and much stiffer than most of C-Beam based actuators available on the UK market.

Our C section extrusion used to build C-track actuators works similar to the OpenBuilds C-Beam actuators, but it’s bigger, wider and heavier(about twice of standard C-Beam weight). Additionally our gantry plate is thicker (8mm compared to 6mm original plates), it’s also larger (165x118mm compared to Xlarge 125x125mm OpenBuilds plate).

Our gantry plate can accomodate 8 pieces of “W” Xtreme roller wheels , mounted to the gantry plate by M6 bolts (OpenBuilds system uses M5 bolts to compare), which results with more rigidity and less deflection. One side of the gantry with 4 x “W” wheels contain eccentric spacers, which allow it to regulate the position of wheels and eliminate loose. Special thin regulating 11mm wrench included. Additionally there are  four iGus selflubricating sliding  pads between gantry plate and aluminium rail  for better stability and to prevent gantry plate deflection when moving

There is also available a ‘closed up’ double gantry actuator system which provides extra protection to the actuator’s leadscrew and  track channels , which is very important in the milling machinery to prevent milling chips and dust from penetrating roller tracks of the actuator.

CA-40120 linear actuator is completely our design, we designed all parts and hired a factory to manufacture them for us. Assembled in the UK.

Following lengths available: 300mm , 500mm, 750mm, 1000mm,1200mm, 1500mm. On request we can make a longer than 1500mm actuator, if such a long actuator is needed please contact us.

This CNC Actuator contains a TR16x8 leadscrew with Delrin anti-backlash nut system. Leadscrew is ended with flexible coupler which can accomodate nema 23 stepper motor with 8mm shaft.

PLEASE NOTE! Length given in a drop down menu is just a length of linear extrusion rail used,  actual gantry movement will be 165mm less than”Length” given.
