For sale: an upgraded HGR15 Rail Linear Actuator designed to replace standard C-Beam OpenBuilds V-slot actuators. This actuator is ideal for building various OpenBuilds/OX CNC and 3D Printer projects.

Compared to the standard C-Beam actuators, which are based on 4080 C-Beam aluminum profiles and Delrin wheels, this upgraded version uses a 2080 V-slot profile combined with two HGR15 hardened steel rails and two HGW15 sliders. This upgrade significantly increases the durability and stiffness of the entire structure, resulting in improved milling accuracy over the wheel-based C-Beam actuators. As an upgrade we utilize powerful 3N.m(3.6N.m holding torque) Nema 23 motors, providing ample torque, making them suitable for even the most demanding tasks.

Additionally, we use 4-start leadscrews with a 2mm pitch and 8mm lead, allowing for higher milling speeds. Upon request, we can upgrade to even faster 10mm lead leadscrews. Our standard anti-backlash nuts are made of brass, but we can replace them with quieter POM nuts upon request. Our custom-made gantry plates are fully compatible with OpenBuilds standards, allowing seamless integration with OpenBuilds gantry plates and V-slot extrusion profiles.

We offer actuators in various lengths, ranging from 300mm to 1200mm.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASE:

The lengths listed in the drop-down menu refer to the length of the aluminum profile, not the overall length of the actuator. The travel distance of the gantry plate is approximately 110mm less than the profile length. For example, a 300mm actuator has a gantry plate travel distance of about 190mm.
